MAC Week!! Euristocrats II

Welcome to MAC Week over here at MissWhoville (..umm...yeah..that's what we're calling it, HA)!!! My intense love for MAC started (honestly) last year during the whole Barbie/Fafi/Heatherette releases. The insane use of the color pink used was mind blowing and I kick myself everyday for not buying everything I wanted due to being cheap.

So I created MAC Week as a way to a) remind myself of what collections are coming up and, b)help you guys remember that way we can all go to MAC together and be happy (haul blogs/ videos anyone??)

One of the first collections being released is the Euristocrats II collection.

Anywhoo, the Euristocrats II collection is something that under normal circumstances would have me going through massive heart palpitations. Seriously. A whole collection comprised of ligloss and lipsticks?

MADNESS!! Sheer and utter madness! Most of my money that goes to MAC is in the form of lip product purchases anyway. I don't really know squat about their eyeshadows but ask me the difference between a Cremesheen and a Lustre and I can school you without stuttering.

I am not, however, a fan of Dazzleglasses. I hate to say it because just about EVERYONE is obsessed with Dazzleglass except for me. I hate having glitter on my lips because I feel it brings unwanted attention. Also I think they're overpriced for what they are. Glittered lipgloss. You want me to pay $18 for a glittered lipgloss? The color won't even show on my lips as my lips are dark. So I'll pass on the Dazzleglass.

I have a love/hate relationship with lip pencils. Lip pencils make me think of old women. I have no idea why! Maybe because I used to only see the older women in my family use it when I was growing up. I feel slightly older whenever I use one-and not in the good way-...so it's rare that I do. Or sometimes lip pencils make me think of the '90s when women used to outline their lips with BLACK lip pencil. I still cringe whenever I see that. Please stop, if you're still doing it. But I do love lip pencils because honestly, your lipstick lasts longer.

I always outline AND fill in my lips, then layer my lipstick, lipgloss or both. That way when your lipstick/gloss fades throughout the day, you still have that hint of color- just whip out a clear gloss and you're good to go.

Cherry looks like an amazing red and I honestly just want it because I think every girl/woman needs to own red lip products. Period. Subculture and Whirl look like they would fit in perfectly in my lip product collection as those are generally the colors I wear everyday. I'm always sporting a dirty rose color whether it's my Wet n Wild Flirtatious or my MAC Creme in Your Coffee lipstick.

Euristocrats II is available in North America July 2, 0209 at all MAC locations and available internationally in august 2009 at all MAC locations. If you live in NYC (Manhattan only not the other boroughs) this collection most likely comes out earlier as NYC always releases the products before the national release date. 'll be sure to update ASAP as to when this is out in the city!
