This 17 year old isn't your average high school senior. She's one of the stars of Bravo's newest TV show, NYC Prep. And one stylish teen, for sure!
Now if you follow me on Twitter, you would have known that I was (am?) highly opposed to this NYC Prep show. It's supposed to be the reality TV version of Gossip Girl but as much as I love me some GG, I'd rather it remain a fictional TV show. I don't know how I feel about a bunch of 15-17 year olds running around NYC getting drunk, talking about how rich they are and hooking- ALL ON CAMERA!
But personal feelings aside I briefly got to speak with Kelli and realized that she's still very much a teenager. In this case, she's a teen presented with an opportunity to go on television and (perhaps) become a celebrity.
on fashion and personal style...
Me: Who are some of your favorite designers?
Kelli: "I don't really have a favorite designer. I don't know. Whatever I like I get" laughs "Whatever I want".
Me: How would you describe your personal style?
Kelli: "I love T Shirt and jeans, that's what I wear, like, all the time. But I like to dress up, too."
While my time with her was short, her charming personality and mega watt smile made me kind of interested in watching the show. In person, she's still a bubbly teen who very much likes to hang out with her girls (as evident throughout the night where she and her crew were inseparable). It'll be interesting to see how the show goes. In front of me, I saw a teen girl who wasn't quite comfortable speaking (or perhaps because she was caught off guard). Who knows. She is a stunning girl and I wish her the best of luck.
NYC Prep debuts next Tuesday at 9pm on Bravo.
