The Max Factor 2000 Calorie Extreme Lash Plumper promises to deliver plump lashes "so perfectly, so voluptuously, they may ask, 'are they real?'"(source).
This mascara is good because I did see a slight improvement in my lash when I applied it...after 3 coats. It wasn't anything that made me jump for joy.
I think it's the awkward brush that didn't sit well with me. My lashes are wimpy and this brush is pretty fat, so it was hard reaching the tiny lashes without getting mascara on my face. =(
The formula, though, really made up my mind. It messed with my lashes something ugly. My lashes ended up hurting (if that makes sense). It felt as if I spent too much time tugging on my lashes. My eyes were slightly irritated after using this product for a week so I had to stop.
It took me about 3 coats to achieve the lash look I wanted (maybe that's why my lashes/eye area was hurting). I never do any more than 2 coats of mascara...and 2 is my max. And all that work seemed pointless as by the end of the day my lashes looked like I had nothing on them!
If, by the end of the day, my lashes don't look as good as they did in the morning...I ain't with it. If my beloved Lash Stiletto can do that, then there are no excuses.
I think this mascara would be one of those products I'd only get during a Buy One Get One Free type of deals. I don't think I'd spend my money buying it.
