The Fashion Show: Week 7 recap and Get the Look!

I'm back to bring you the latest from Bravo's hit The Fashion Show! Now I know that it airs on Thursday nights and that by Monday morning, ya'll are probably just ready for the newest episode to come, so my recaps should come a bit quicker. But let's face it, I get lazy (LOL!)

Last week, the designers had to once again brace themselves for working in pairs- something that our fave Reco could not stand. Not to mention he got to work with Daniella (who was really annoying in this episode, right??)

For the Harper's Bazaar mini challenge, Ugly Betty's Becky Newton surprised the designers, and told them their task was to transform the Harper's Bazaar interns from party girls to professionals.

umm...
a) is that what it's really like to intern at Harper's Bazaar?? And where can I apply?!
and, b) I nearly DIED when I saw Becky Newton...love her.

Team Johnny R. and Merlin won that challenge which surprised me since we all know that Merlin doesn't like Johnny R. (I feel like I"m telling you the drama of what happened at school! Am I the only one??)

The elimination challenge- dun dun dun- the contestant had to design a garment inspired by Isaac Mizrahi’s mood board in under 8 hours! EIGHT HOURS!!!!??! As if being in teams wasn’t stressful enough, now the designers had to create a look just for Isaac with no time to spare.

Reco and Daniella clearly have different visions when it comes to inspiration. Daniella fought for a pantsuit WHILE Reco urged for a gown. On the other hand, Anna and Haven appear like-minded, and worked well as a team creating a tribal-inspired ensemble. Being the mini challenge winners, Merlin and Johnny R. got to spend five minutes alone with Isaac to discuss their vision of a structured plaid skirt and black jacket.

In the end, Anna and Haven's seamless teamwork and beautiful culottes and "technical coat" (right) won the audience's approval, as well as this week's guest judge Veronica Webb.

Lidia and James-Paul created a fishtail patterned dress with an oversized jacket that did not mesh. While Daniella and Reco’s floral ‘granny’ pants and orange coat was not an audience favorite, Webb decided to send Lidia home due to the ill fit on her model. And her dress was atrocious to put it simply.

Onto the 'do!!

Jeanie Syfu created unruly ringlets for Anna and Haven’s tribal-insired garment. Get the look in few short steps:

•Apply TRESemmé Thermal Creations Instant Heat Tamer Spray on dry
hair concentrating on the mid-shaft to ends.

• Starting at the nape, use a 1/4" curling iron to create small ringlets from roots to ends.

• Once entire head is curled, create a center part and finger through to loosen and fluff the curls.

• Rub TRESemmé Anti-Frizz Secret Smoothing Crème on hands, and twirl
small sections of hair around the finger to create definition.

I, personally, L-O-V-E this look due to it's natural look and free flowing nature. The fact that there aren't so many products used in the hair is fantastic as we all know the more products you use the more buildup develops. So kudos to Syfu and her team over at TRESemmé!

There are only a few more episodes left! Watch with me- The Fashion Show is on Thursdays at 10/9c on BRAVO. Of course, I'll be tweeting away on Twitter during the show. Log on to TRESemmé® StyleSeeker™ at http://www.blogger.com/www.TRESemme.com/StyleSeeker for exclusive content of The Fashion Show. And of course, TRESemmé products are available at food, drug and mass market retailers nationwide.
