FRANÇOIS NARS AT NORDSTROM RECAP

Gals,

I'm super jealous of all you that got to attend the Nordstrom event where you got to meet François Nars himself. I'm insanely jealous! And it doesn't make it any better when you Karen's recap of the fantastical event on her blog, Makeup and beauty Blog. le sigh.

Here's hoping he visits NYC as well *raises glass*

Why all the hubbub?? Well this was Nars' first personal appearance in 10 years. 10 years!! Can you even? Ten years ago, I was eleven years old and running to Rite Aid to score some Bonnebell Smackers.

Kathleen, you are one lucky woman

I would have probably died right in front of him had I been there. Or say something super cheesey like, "You're my idol" or "I Love You" or even better "Your book changed my life". But really it did. I remember going to Border's bookstore almost everyday for a summer, chilling on the floor reading Makeup Your Mind ever so diligently trying to absorb the most minute details.

Ahh yess...summer of 2003, when I discovered "real" makeup (NARS, MAC, etc.).

Also present at the event was the NARS Loves San Francisco Set which contains an assortment of four classic products resurrected from the archives by François Nars specifically for the women of San Francisco and re-named after iconic names in the city.
