Lindsay Phillips Giveaway!

My high school years consisted of gossiping with my friends about boy issues and making sure the hemline of my uniform skirt was short enough to look cute but not enough to get me in trouble by the nuns that occupied the space.

And some people, actually like to make those four years worthwhile.

Such a person is Florida native Lindsay Phillips, who came up with her now successful footwear company as a result of a high school ceramic art project. By simply attaching the straps of flip flops with Velcro, Lindsay was able to make a variety of grosgrain ribbon straps for them, all with a unique twist on a classic style and topped off with a unique button. Talk about genius?! A couple of encouraging words, a patent and several years later, Lulu Design, Inc. was born and SwitchFlops has changed the way we look at flip flops forever.

I had the opportunity to wear a pair of Lindsay Phillips ballet flats and, dolls, I am smitten. SMITTEN I tell thee! The flats are super comfy and über cute. They do, at least in my case, run a bit on the smallish side (or I have man feet) but that did not stop me from tottering around NYC in 2 degree weather with my flats on.

No pain. No gain. Right?

The snaps on the front of the shoes are probably the BEST idea EVER! It's so much fun changing them around to whatever suits your fancy. The fact that you can order more online has got my credit card in a sorry state, I tell you. SwitchFlops and her ballet flats are all available at www.SwitchFlops.com and at retail outlets across the country.

I love these guys so much, I just couldn't keep the secret to myself. I've partnered up with the brand to give one lucky MissWhoever You Are reader her very own pair.

To enter the giveaway, send an email to [email protected]. Be sure to include your full name, mailing address, and shoe size. The subject line should read "Change your look, not your sole." [That's the company motto. Clever, no??] The contest ends at midnight (EST) on Sunday, January 17, 2010. One winner will be chosen at random from among the entrants. On Monday, January 18, I'll announce the lucky winner. Only one entry per person; duplicate entries will not increase your chances of winning. Contest is open to U.S. residents.

Good luck!
