An Apple a Day Keeps the Aging Away??? Lumene Excellent Future Takes Care of Business

If you opened up this month's issue of Vogue, you might have noticed a story featuring the wonders of the apple from the Uttwiler Spätlauber tree in Switzerland. It's being touted as the fountain of youth (minus the water) of the beauty world due to its unbelievable quick ability to repair itself. The apple stem cell extract works with our own skin’s cells to help repair and prevent damages caused by aging and other external factors. While you can pay hundreds of dollars for this miracle in a jar, I thought you might like to hear a more wallet friendly option.

Lumene Excellent Future...
For the past month and a half, I've been testing out Lumene's Excellent Future collection and so far, I'm in L-O-V-E.

The Excellent Future line consists of a Deep Repairing Cream and a Deep Repairing Serum, both of which contain Applexcell™, a unique combination of a modern apple stem cell extract and ancient Arctic white peat, working together for revolutionary anti-aging benefits.

While the line is geared towards women in their 30's +, I'm all for early protection and prevention. I'd rather go through all of the hard work now, in my 20s, than fuss in my 30s and 40s. Ain't no shoulda, woulda, coulda around here!

The Deep Repairing Cream is a bit heavy and I could only use it during the winter as my skin is a lot drier than the summer months. I also find that only a small amount could be applied in the morning or else it's Oil Slick City on my face. While it's on the thick side, my face does feel hydrated and I never have to worry about those disgusting dry patches that would invade once the temperatures dips.

The real star of my skincare routine would have to be the Deep Repairing Serum. Unlike most serums I've used in the past, it's not greasy or sticky. There's no nasty residue left on my hands or face and applying moisturizer afterward is a breeze. My skin doesn't feel like there's too much product at one time. Lightweight and oddly refreshing, this serum has become an absolute necessity in my daily routine (morning and night).

I can't say that wrinkles have vanished from my face never to be seen again because, well, honestly they were never there to begin with. I can attest, however, that there's a certain glow to my face that has garnered quite the attention. After using these products, the need for everyday makeup isn't there. I feel comfortable going out without "putting my face on" because my skin isn't dull and lifeless.

Lumene's Excellent Future line retail for $29.99 each at CVS/pharmacy and other mass retailers.
