I’ve been a big fan of Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation for quite some time. Heck, when I started working for the brand, the first thing I used my corporate discount for was to buy several back ups (viva la double wear!)

When the Nude Cushion Stick ($39.50) came out, I was curious. First there’s the packaging and application itself. It’s a sleek tube with a gold cap; underneath there’s a sponge tip applicator that allows you to dab on and blend without any additional tools should you choose.

Before I carry on, I have to say this is not the Double Wear foundation we know and love. I repeat: THIS IS NOT DOUBLE WEAR STAY IN PLACE! If you’re looking for full coverage foundation, exit stage left. This is a lightweight product that gives a luminous, sheer to medium coverage.

The sponge is removable meaning you can clean it (hallelujah). Personally, I like using a brush or a Beauty Blender to apply. Not a fan of using the sponge that comes with it. If you have cystic acne, this isn’t going to cover anything (you might want to stick with the original Double Wear). I consider this for days where I don’t want to wear a lot of makeup but want a hint of coverage as I go about my day. This is definitely more of a day time foundation for me as I prefer using something full coverage and matte when I go out at night.

Estée Lauder Double Wear Nude Cushion Stick is for the girl who wants a bit of coverage but nothing heavy. This feels like skin and is great for someone who wants a dewy finish. I did film a first impression video so subscribe to my YouTube channel so you get notified when that goes live.

Estée Lauder Double Wear Nude Cushion Stick is available at Sephora, Ulta, and the Estée Lauder website among other retailers.

I did receive these as PR samples. I also work for Estee Lauder but was not compensated for this review. I wish, tho.

Every now and then a limited edition makeup collection comes out that just speaks to your soul. I think the Victoria Beckham x Estée Lauder is the one for me.
victoria-beckham-estee-lauder-swatchesAlthough I work for the brand, I wasn’t directly involved with this project and it KILLED me. I’ve always been a fan of Victoria Beckham and truly admire how she went from pop superstar to fashion designer extraordinaire. Her collection with Estée Lauder is everything you’d imagine it to be: classic, chic, and stunning.

As anticipated, the collection pretty much sold out online but you can still find a few pieces online and in select stores. I was lucky enough to have been gifted a few products from the collection (score!) and below are my picks.

Victoria Beckham Estée Lauder Eye Palette ($95) (yes, $95!!)

Not going to lie…I saw the price of this palette and nearly choked. This palette features six shimmery powder eyeshadows that can be worn wet (super intense) or dry (much softer). The powders themselves are very soft and apply very smooth. It’s pretty finely-milled and has a buttery feel. I don’t get a lot of kick up when going in with a brush which is ace.

Victoria Beckham Estée Lauder Lipstick in Chilean Sunset and Brazilian Nude ($45, each) & Victoria Beckham Estée Lauder Lip Gloss in Moroccan Heat ($36)

Chilean Sunset is an orangey red lipstick with a warm undertone that goes on like a comfortable, smooth matte (demi matte?) finish. It’s not drying like your typical matte lipstick, goes on smoothly, and has a very good wear time. I would highly recommend exfoliating lips before applying this lipstick. Brazilian Nude is a medium-dark peachy brown with warm undertones. It has a soft sheen to it and thoroughly surprised me in terms of how brown girl friendly it actually is. It’s a great every day nude color that applies evenly and is the my lips but better category. This is my favorite lip product of the three in this collection. Moroccan Heat lip gloss is a nude gloss that can be paired with Brazilian Nude or worn alone.

Victoria Beckham Estée Lauder Highlighter in Modern Mercury ($65)

I screamed “YAAASSS!!!” when I first saw and swatched this highlighter and with good reason. Modern Mercury was released a few years ago and became a coveted beauty item. I didn’t have the original so this was my chance. Along with the eyeshadow palette this was on my list as a must buy (I planned on purchasing them but they sold out so I teared up inside when this landed on my desk). Modern Mercury is a light-medium, rosy brown with warm undertones and soft pink and gold shimmer. The powder are finely milled, super soft, and easy to blend. Depending on the brush you use, you can easily get a soft highlight or a more intense, Instagram worthy highlight if that’s your style. Don’t wait, buy it now or forever hold your peace.

Victoria Beckham Estée Lauder Eye Ink in Black Myrrh ($45)

This eyeshadow has a gel-creme formula that blends pretty easily with little to no fallout. The shade itself is a deep, rich, almost-black shade with a touch of pearl. This is really a one stop shop for a beautiful, rich smoky eye that’s easy to do and fuss free. Wasn’t on my list but I was pretty happy when a coworker gave it to me since she wouldn’t wear it. There are two more shades (Charred Emerald and Bitter Clove) that are just as beautiful.

The Victoria Beckham Estée Lauder collection is available now in select stores (Macy’s, Saks, Net-a-Porter) while supplies last.

Wee! I’m back with a video (finally). Work has been CRAZY (I started working for The Estée Edit) (I’ve gone corporate). Needless to say there are quite a few Edit products here but it’s not a sponsored video. This is the makeup I do every day. A little smoky action. Bold lip.

As much as I love make up (and y’all know I do), skincare has always been my first love. Ever since my first taste of doing research for Lancôme’s Genifique range in the corporate world, I became interested in the ingredients that go into each skincare product created. There are so many cool technologies being developed in the skincare world that it’s exciting but hard to keep up with what is cool and what is…not. When the Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream ($65) landed on my doorstep, I was excited because I love Sunday Riley skincare.
Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream

Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream is a lightweight, oil-free formula that promises to brighten and illuminate while providing up to 24 hours of moisture for a youthful, plump appearance. The best part is that they promise it’s for ALL skin types. Call me a skeptic but HOW, SWAY?

Well, Tidal offers two forms of hyaluronic acid for a more youthful, hydrated look as well as papaya enzymes to smooth and exfoliate. Also part of the formula are alpha-arbutin and exotic floral extracts that work to brighten hyperpigmentation spots and illuminate the complexion.

I’m excited to try this as well as their Luna Sleeping Night Oil once my ANR serum is over. If Claire likes it, I need it 😉

Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream is available at Sephora now.

Disclosure: I received this as a sample for editorial consideration. Will report back on my experience in a few weeks.

In January I started a new job and part of the perks was a gift bag with this little bottle of liquid gold. I’ve heard so many great reviews of the Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair, but I always relegated it as something that my mom would use. Gahdammit I was wrong!
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair_review

With an increase on hormonal breakouts, dull skin, and a lackluster complexion, I needed all the help I can get. I’m not sure WHAT is happening but I swear once I turned 28 my skin was like #girlbye. When I received Advanced Night Repair on my first day on the job, I was excited because your girl needed skin rescue.

Advanced Night Repair glides over the skin very easily, and is quickly absorbed. You only need a half drop and whenever I’ve applied too much my skin does feel a bit sticky. That feeling quickly fades and once I apply moisturizer I don’t feel any residue. Since this is a serum, I won’t recommend applying it alone. I always apply a moisturizer afterward since my skin gets pretty dry in the winter. That said, I have had many a lazy nights where I applied this and crawled into bed, because YOLO.
Estee Lauder Advanced Night RepairOver the past six weeks, I’ve noticed my skin looking healthier, smoother, and more radiant. There was a week where I didn’t use this (for no reason other than laziness) and I quickly decided that ANR was important to my routine. My skin looked D U L L without it. I had a few acne scars and I will say they’ve started to fade but I’ve also been using Clarins Mission Perfection Serum during the day time. When I use this my skin looks so much better in the morning. Acne scars are looking much better. My skin glows. I can’t rave about this product enough.

I will have a full skincare routine up shortly because I’ve amped up my routine with some stellar products. I’ve never been happier with my skin (outside of those pesky hormonal breakouts). In short, Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair is a holy grail skincare item. Getyousome.
