Charlotte Tilbury Haul

Charlotte TilburyWhen Charlotte Tilbury first launched her makeup collection, I spent an exorbitant amount shipping a singular palette from the UK to the US via Selfridges. I’m a big Charlotte Tilbruy fan and she’s one of my favorite makeup artists to interview backstage during NYFW. It was a no brainer. I had to do it. Since then, I’ve pulled back a bit in terms of spending because Charlotte Tilbury products are pretty pricey. Like every beauty obsessed girl, I have my moments when I slip up and end up haulin’. So here we are.
Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze Glow Medium to DarkI’ve always wanted to try her Filmstar Bronze & Glow but the first palette was made for fairer skin and was not up my alley. Not too long ago, she released a Medium to Dark version and it took everything in me not to run out and buy it. The reason? The “sculpt” shade isn’t really one for true sculpting. It has shimmer in it and to be honest the sculpt is still a bit too light. THAT SAID, it’s a gorgeous highlight on deep skin. It’s a nice subtle highlight whereas the actual highlight shade is a bit more intense. For a true sculpting shade, I’d recommend the Filmstar Bronze & Glow Sun Tan & Sun Light Face Sculpt & Highlight. It is a limited edition product so I’m not sure if it’s still available everywhere. I saw it at Bergdorf and it is available here.Charlotte Tilbury haulWhile I was at it and #feelingspendy, I decided to pick up one of the Matte Revolution lipstick in Glastonberry.

Charlotte Tilbury Glastonberry ($32.00) is a muted, medium-dark purple–berry with subtle, cool undertones and a matte finish. It’s not a super opaque formula but is buildable. The wear time is decent and lasts roughly five hours. What I love most is the matte formula that doesn’t tug or feel dry on the lips.charlotte tilbury MINI MIRACLE EYE WAND shade 5

Last but not least I picked up the Mini Miracle Eye Wand Dynamic Duo Lift & Light Reflector is shade 5 after seeing shlinda1‘s review. Her demo was so convincing that I literally ran to Bergdorf the very next day to pick this up. On one end there’s an eye cream and on the other is an eye light reflector which is great to color correct. I have some hereditary dark circles that seem to be getting worse with age. I can’t wait to try this!

So there it is. I’m putting myself on a no buy for the next 30 days because I spent way too much money recently on makeup. Let’s see how this goes.

Charlotte Tilbury products are beautiful, but tough to find where I live in Canada! I’m always on the hunt for a good non-drying matte lipstick though. Love the packaging too.
