New In: Josie Maran Nirvana Hydrating Treatment Mist

If there’s one thing I love most in the world of beauty, it’s a hydrating face mist. While I have naturally oily skin, I like to keep mists in my handbag and on my vanity to a) refresh my makeup/dull skin midday and, b) cool me off during the summer.

When I heard that Josie Maran released a face mist I instantly ran to buy it. The Josie Maran Nirvana Hydrating Treatment Mist, $38, promises to amplify the benefits of your skincare ritual while nourishing, smoothing, and brightening. Sign me up!

Meant to be applied to skin after cleansing, this mist can also be used throughout the day to revitalize skin and boost hydration. It has an alcohol-free formula (great as it won’t dry out your skin) and contains contains argan oil extract to nourish and coconut water for hydration.

While I love the concept and the amazing ingredients described, I was neither amazed or bored. This product is good. Is it MIND BLOWINGLY AWESOME? No, but it’s okay. Although it felt nice on my skin when applied, my skin was a bit oilier than usual. The spray nozzle is nice and gives a great, even spritz. I guess for $40, I expected much more. If luxury face mists are your thing, then go for (heck try the Tatcha Dewy face Mist - that is amazing!). If you’re on a budget, Mario Badescu might be your new holy grail.
