Have you ever heard of The Wrap Life? I discovered them late one night last February (likely during one of many snowstorms) and have quickly fallen in love with the brand.
The Wrap Life is a retailer of African printed scarves and accessories that was created by Nnenna Stella in Brooklyn, New York. Now I love a small business owned by a brown girl, but a fellow Brooklynite? Girl, I had to support!

According to her site, most of the products are hand printed or handmade. They update the site quite often so there’s always something calling on your credit card. Heck when I made my first order, the Mozambican Rain wrap, they were only selling wraps and maybe a few pieces of jewelry. Now they’re selling tops, jewelry, and incense!

The scarves I’ve ordered are made of cotton but you can easily wear a silk scarf underneath the wrap if you’re nervous about it rubbing against your hair and causing frizz or soaking up any oils you put in your hair. I wear them not only as a fashion statement but on days where I simply don’t want to comb my hair, LOL! The styles tend to sell out quick so if you see one that you like, snap it up quick.
