If you know me than you’re well aware of my love of stationary. As much of a digital girl I am, I still cherish writing thank you notes. I stock up on pretty notebooks and agonize over a planner come the end of the year. I’ve been known to start my planner quest as early as September which ended up in me having six (yes, SIX) 2013 planners. While I’m on a quest to find the perfect pink lipstick, so is the quest to find the perfect planner (agenda, diary, whatever you call it). I’ve always owned a Filofax (I even geeked a bit when I saw Gala’s post a few years back) but between faulty rings, not so pretty designs, and never being happy with what I owned I’ve strayed.
When I saw that Filofax was releasing a collection called The Originals, my heart stopped a bit because I saw something I simply had to own. A planner in Fluorescent Pink. It’s a LOUD pink and certainly not for those who prefer understated. I, on the other hand, am of the go big or go home mentality and nothing is bigger than this.

After months of searching I found it on pensandleather.com available for delivery in the US. Huzzah! After a quick coupon code search (always look for coupon codes before purchasing something online!) it was mine. Isn’t she a beaut?

The Originals collection is made of thick leather - like that you’ll see in designer bags - which delights me endlessly since that means it’ll (hopefully) last. The clasp says “FILOFAX” in caps, “The Original” in a brush script font, “est. in 1921″ in lowercase font. It has two pen loops as well as a larger strap in between which I’ve seen some folks say they put their phone in (I don’t want to ruin the shape so I’ll likely add business cards).

Simply gorgeous. I know it’s an odd obsession for a girl like me to have but I can’t help it. I need to jot things down in order to remember them. The best part is that this came with planner inserts for 2014 as well as the remainder of the year but I’m super picky about my inserts (I needs LOTS of space due to my horrid penmanship - working on it!). I normally go to Kate Spade and stock up if/when there’s a sale since they have pretty doodles and themes each year. Given that it’s midway through the year, however, I’ll stick to the Filofax branded inserts.
And that’s enough for my nerding session
I can’t be the only one who secretly lives for paper goods, right?

How on earth do you keep your paper goods obsession a secret with such a gorgeous, screaming pink Filofax? *shakes head* I really do love the colours of the Original line. My favourite is the yellow one. Though, I do wonder how the raw edges will hold up over time?
I hadn’t thought of that! I’ll be looking out for it in the future.
What a beauty.
Adore this
