faux fur vest: pjk (gifted); tee: rachel rachel roy (gifted); jeans: joe’s jeans; boots: coachso, when I heard about Rachel Roy’s Anti Bullying campaign, I knew I’d get involved because this is a topic that I care about. When I think of bullying, I think of the teasing of my younger days. Not knowing English, wearing ribbons till middle school, crooked teeth, being too skinny - you name it! Now, however, bullying seems to have intensified tenfold. With the internet, privacy is a thing of the past and not only are young people being taunted in school but on Facebook, Twitter, and elsewhere.
160,000 kids stay home each day in America out the fear of being bullied. I’m so glad that Rachel Roy is using her platform as a designer to create a product that lets people express themselves and get across an important message. A portion of the sales will be going to the
PACER Center and if you’re interested you could visit their site to find out how you can help spread the awareness.
Purchase you shirt here and here for $39.
LOVE that shirt!! I’m seriously considering purchasing one, I was bullying as a child and I’m also glad that someone is making statement clothing against this!
Thank you for sharing your story with us Eileen! You look gorgeous in that.
Great Post! I too know what it feels like. We recently had a very sad story of a teenager who took her life due to bullying here in Vancouver BC. This has to stop.
