That said, I’m not bitter. Instead I’ve made my list for more autumn gear (remember when we used to call designer stuff “gear” in the ‘hood??). My wishlist is below. What’s yours?
When I received word that Shopbop was going to have a handbag sale, I instantly decided to peruse the shop to create a wish list. Then I realized it was a selection (so my Pashli Dreams Part Three will have to wait). That said, I’m thinking ahead and planning my autumn lewk, part of which includes backpacks. I can’t remember the last time I wore a backpack in a serious fashion - outside of that time I went HIKING in an attempt to woo a guy. The relationship fizzled and so did the thought of me ever wearing a backpack again.
Not one to quit and the mere fact that you cannot walk into a store without seeing a fashionable backpack, I’ve added a few to my cart and want you to wear one with me.
Okay so the Lipault Paris 4-Wheeled 28″ Packing Case in Poppy isn’t a handbag but I literally just planned a girls trip for September and realized that I only have one 22” suitcase that doesn’t wheel. The wheeling part may seem like a minor detail but carrying a bag is out of the question for me. I’m lazy, sue me. Other non-backpack but still made this list include the DKNY Drawstring Bucket Bag (White) and Loeffler Randall Medium Rider Satchel (Electric Blue). I mean, look at them. You know you want it.
Marc by Marc Jacobs Ligero Backpack (Black) for those who want to look less schoolgirl and more “I hang out downtown but really live uptown.” I have a love-hate relationship with Rebecca Minkoff primarily because I think her prices had gotten way out of hand in recent years. That said, I’m no hater and this Rebecca Minkoff MAB Backpack looks pretty damn good. Lastly this Elizabeth and James Cynnie Sling Bag (Canopy Green) is what dreams are made of and Herschel Supply Co.’sHeritage Mid Volume Backpack is quite affordable.
Now that Easter has come and gone, I’m actually in a spring state of mind. I’m ready to shed the layers, burn my tights, wear short skirts — you get the idea. The fact that Shopbop is having yet anothersale (enter code spring25 for 25% off your order) only means that it’s fate. Time for me to pick out those key pieces that’ll take me from spring to summer.
I personally love 3.1 Phillip Lim accessories and have had my eye on “Gorge” 31 Second Pouch for quite some time. It’s super small and chic - the perfect evening out clutch to carry the essentials but still love fun. I hate pieces that take themselves too seriously.
Ahh the Pashli. I love mine (so much so that I purchased TWO last year from Shopbop). I’ve put myself on a no bag buying ban and it hurts so much. This color (White Peach) is so precious! Then there’s the Alexander Wang Rockie in Air Force which makes me want to scream inside it’s so beautiful. http://bit.ly/1FhXIh5 I have it in a pretty pale pink hue that’s perfect for spring but if you’re in the market for a small bag that can carry a ton - this is it!
Lastly I’m on a jumpsuit kick and just discovered the label findersKEEPERS. It’s an Australian company that creates feminine pieces that are alluring and sexy without trying too hard. I went back and forth between the three jumpsuits pictured but decided on the Here We Go Jumpsuit in white since I love that color against my skin tone. Who knows - the Shop sale lasts for three days so I have just enough time to snap up another one (as long as they don’t sell out!)
