That said, I’m not bitter. Instead I’ve made my list for more autumn gear (remember when we used to call designer stuff “gear” in the ‘hood??). My wishlist is below. What’s yours?
We’re closing out another month but not without a bang! Ulta has been celebrating 21 Days of Beauty throughout the month of September and the steals keep getting better. Each day Ulta features a beauty product with a generous discount letting all of us pick up some new beauty goodness. I got a preview and since I’m looking to jazz up my fall makeup bag, I’m excited to share this with you. Here we go!
On September 24th, pick up Stila’s Convertible Color which will be $12 (regularly $25!). This cream formula can be used as a lipcolor AND blush making it the ultimate makeup bag must have. Double duty beauty is always a good thing. It has a sheer tint that adds a subtle glow to cheeks while adding soft hue to your pucker. Getting it 50% off is even better!
My top two picks are in the eye category since I’ve been on the hunt for some new mascara and a bangin’ liquid liner.
I’ve been hearing a lot about It Cosmetics so I’m excited for the Hello Lashes Clinically Proven 5-in-1 Mascara. On September 25th it’ll be $12 (normally $24). According to the brand this mascara is clinically shown to increase lash volume by 430% — dang! It utilizes proprietary technology to infuse a blend of lash-enhancing and conditioning ingredients including Peptides, Collagen, Proteins, Acai, Jojoba, Green Tea and Vitamins A, C, E, B5. So not only will it give you va-va volume but also condition lashes.
Lastly there’s the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Precision Longwear Liner which will be $10 on the 26th (it’s regularly $20). I’ve been looking for a new liquid liner so I’m pumped about this. The pointed tip lets you create a fine line or go bold if you want to.
When I received word that Shopbop was going to have a handbag sale, I instantly decided to peruse the shop to create a wish list. Then I realized it was a selection (so my Pashli Dreams Part Three will have to wait). That said, I’m thinking ahead and planning my autumn lewk, part of which includes backpacks. I can’t remember the last time I wore a backpack in a serious fashion - outside of that time I went HIKING in an attempt to woo a guy. The relationship fizzled and so did the thought of me ever wearing a backpack again.
Not one to quit and the mere fact that you cannot walk into a store without seeing a fashionable backpack, I’ve added a few to my cart and want you to wear one with me.
Okay so the Lipault Paris 4-Wheeled 28″ Packing Case in Poppy isn’t a handbag but I literally just planned a girls trip for September and realized that I only have one 22” suitcase that doesn’t wheel. The wheeling part may seem like a minor detail but carrying a bag is out of the question for me. I’m lazy, sue me. Other non-backpack but still made this list include the DKNY Drawstring Bucket Bag (White) and Loeffler Randall Medium Rider Satchel (Electric Blue). I mean, look at them. You know you want it.
Marc by Marc Jacobs Ligero Backpack (Black) for those who want to look less schoolgirl and more “I hang out downtown but really live uptown.” I have a love-hate relationship with Rebecca Minkoff primarily because I think her prices had gotten way out of hand in recent years. That said, I’m no hater and this Rebecca Minkoff MAB Backpack looks pretty damn good. Lastly this Elizabeth and James Cynnie Sling Bag (Canopy Green) is what dreams are made of and Herschel Supply Co.’sHeritage Mid Volume Backpack is quite affordable.
