new in beauty: pixi x itsjudytime

This year, Pixi Beauty decided to go big by collabing with four “influencers” (I truly hate that term).

First up is ItsJudyTime! Judy has been in the YouTube world for a long time and I’m happy to see her doing a collab with a bigger brand (although Pixi is still relatively indie).

For her collab, she decided to create two products an eye and lip palette.

To be completely honest, I haven’t ever given Pixi’s eyeshadows a shot. Their usual palettes tend to be overly shimmery and some have crumbled while sitting in my collection! While swatching with my fingers, the shimmery shades were beautiful and very silky. Some of the mattes were patchy but I’m hopeful that they’re better once applied with a brush.

I’m not a fan of lip palettes because they can get very messy BUT I do have to say they’re very convenient. The ItsLipTime features a collection of lip colors in a range of wearable colors. The lip colors look very similar to Pixi’s usual lipstick formula which is actually pretty nice. You can apply with your finger but I would recommend using a lip brush for an even application.

Pixi is only just becoming available in Canada, and I’m quite excited about that as I’ve heard such great things about the brand. I doubt this sort of collection will arrive here, though. I’m not sure how I feel about a lip palette, but I really like how the eyeshadow palette looks! It’s great that Pixi is collaborating with peeps.

I love the lip palette. I’m more adventurous with my lips when it comes to colours. I wish Pixi was available in my country too

I’m not that keen on the lip palette but I do like the look of the shade range in the eyeshadow palette. It’s right up my street!

Loving the look of that eyeshadow palette. I’ve not tried pixi before but have wanted to for a while!
