LOOKIE HERE! AN OUTFIT POST! After a hurricane, Nor’easter, and biting winds the weather in NYC has warmed up a bit (we’re talking 63°F in November) – so I had to get all dressed up, natch. A failed attempt at organizing my closet this weekend opened my eyes to the fact that I have a LOT of unworn clothes. Top that with my recent purchases, I’m swimming laps of ASOS, Zara, and J. Crew.
Case in point: this blouse from ASOS I bought in early summer prepping for Autumn (yeah you read that right). I discovered it in the back of my closet, hanging neatly with the tags on. Woman with a problem.
sweater: J. Crew; leather skirt: Free People; shoes: Forever 21 (similar); bag: Alexander Wang; bangles: gorjana (gifted); cuff: SJP perfume; watch: BCBG (gifted)
a few personal updates from my end:
- I chopped off a good two inches of hair and now have a bob. I’m still trying to get used to short hair – last time I did this I looked like Dora the Explorer but this look is a bit layered and not as blunt
- my legs look fucking amazing in these photos so this skirt/shoe combo will most likely be repeated several times before winter
- polka dots give me life, pink is my power color, so this J . Crew Tippie sweater is perfection. So perfect that I wore a sweater in summer
- rose gold is my new favorite thing in life (blame the bag) and I’ve been acquiring rose gold jewelry like it’ll never be sold again. The latest to join my massive pile of jewels is this BCBG watch which looks like a men’s watch but doesn’t overpower my tiny wrists
That’s my best “HEY! I’m a personal style blogger crossing the street!” look
Happy Hump Day!!
Please don’t forget that you can still help the people of Haiti, donate to the Red Cross today. Thank you.
You know when I find a steal, I just HAVE to share it with you all!
A couple of months ago, joined the online shopping site Rue La La simply because it involved shopping, the color pink and discounted prices. The boutiques were so cute and I’m convinced that it’s the only site you will ever need to shop on (because who hasn’t heard of Gilt Groupe, Editor’s Closet and the rest of them…)
Rue La La is an invite only destination where members delight in discovering private sale Boutiques that open daily with a rush and promptly close 2 days later. For example, this week member get to shop for beautiful pieces by Luca Luca and Free People super discounted prices.
Friggin’ love it. To sign up, click here.
