Ebay Haluage

I have been on this INSANE MAC trip as of late. I don't know if it's all of the collections that they're releasing this month but lately I have been visiting MAC more than ever.

Even on eBay.

I know what you're thinking..."eBay is a scam!"..."Don't do it!"..."It's a fake!"...

I've been on eBay for quite some time now and I've learned the ins and outs, so to speak. Also, I don't order lip products or eye pencils/mascaras. It's pretty much brushes and face powders. So I took my chances and clicked "Bid".

And I won. Several times.

I'm pretty excited about this mega win (shoot, its a mega win in my mind...). I had been bidding on Smooth Harmony beauty powder (from MAC's Heatherette collection) for the past 4 months. FOUR MONTHS! I always lost by like a dime- which if you're competitive like me sucks and fuels you to bid on even more items, hence this haul.

So yay for me! I won both Smooth Harmony and Alpha Girl (also from Heatherette) each for $20. TWENTY DOLLARS EACH! If you factor in shipping prices I paid no more than $25 for each item.

Sweet Jesus!!!

I'm planning on depotting one of them and putting in my own Studio Finish powder inside it instead.

Next, I won the 187 brush. This is a mini version and it's from MAC's Heirloom collection. Get this: I paid $14 total for it.

Jealous??

I know.

The orange eyeshadow you see in the collective picture above was from the seller who sold me the Alpha Girl beauty powder. I had won the item and for a week I didn't hear from her so I emailed asking how long it would be. Needless to say, she felt bad that she took so long, apologized, and included the orange eyeshadow. It's called Fab & Flashy (from MAC's C-Shock collection) and it's a medium orange color without any gold reflects in it. Plus, it's gorgeous.

Overall, this was an ahh-mazing "haul". My eBay days are done for now. There aren't any products that I want that I can't go to a MAC store to purchase. Super proud of myself =). If you are planning on buying from eBay, please take these into consideration:
--Do your research. Don't just bid on an item. Google the products to see if what the seller is claiming is true (what year did it came out? what collection was it a part of? Is the seller using a stock photo or a personal? Does it say MAC and not Mac?)

--Ask the seller questions. Don't be afraid. If they don't respond or get defensive, don't bid they may be sketchy.

--Look at the details of the product and compare it to authentic photos (check the MAC website. Also Temptalia is pretty accurate about MAC products)

Also, keep in mind that MAC brushes aren't sold in sets (unless it's a holiday collection) so any seller claiming that it's a "Real 12 piece MAC brush set" is probably lying.

xoxo,
me ;)
