You’ve heard me talk about Kiss My Face before and with good reasoning. This brand has stolen my heart this year. Their mission is something I truly admire (especially in my quest to going green).
It doesn’t hurt that their products are awesome as well. =)
For the past month, I had been testing out products from their new Potent & Pure Facial Care system and I must say I am smitten.
The Kiss My Face Potent & Pure Facial Care system combines the latest scientific research with beneficial botanicals, vitamins, extracts and minerals. The line can be tailored to meet the needs of all skin types, including aging and acne prone skin.
No matter what your skin type, Kiss My Face has got you covered.Now my biggest issue would be that my skin is oily and I tend to get wicked breakouts that seem to pop up out of nowhere. This was the issue I had been facing when I started using the products- I don’t know if it was the previous skincare system I was testing out that made me breakout or if it was the combination of sweets (I’m addicted to candy), wearing make up everyday (I swear I wash my face before bed!), or both but something serious was happening on my face before trying this line.
The Potent & Pure products cleanse, treat & moisturize skin. In the morning I use the Start Up Exfoliating Face Wash and the Balancing Antioxidant Toner. The face wash, I won’t lie, makes my skin feel tight and dry after washing but I use the toner (which is in a spray bottle…different from the other toners I’ve used in the past). The toner is really refreshing and serves as a good wake me up as well as take care of my skin.
I did try using the Cell Mate Facial Creme & Sunscreen, however it turned my face really, really pale. I think it’s the sunscreen that did this as this is a problem I face as a woman of color with many sunscreens. They make me look ashy.
Other than that, I must say I’m impressed. The breakouts have decreased dramatically. Like, they’re gone. I love it. In addition to gradually clearing up my skin, the shine factor has slightly diminished.
The line’s packaging is made up of 65% post consumer corrugate & produced in a facility that utilizes wind power and water soluble inks. Kiss My Face has eliminated paper leaflets in their Potent & Pure system. Instead of the traditional “how-to” with leaflets, Kiss My Face created video tutorials on the system with real Kiss My Face fans. Amazing, right?
