Coco Avant Chanel, the forthcoming biopic on the legendary couturier, makes its way into French theaters on April 22. The film hopes to introduce us to the woman behind all of the tweed, quilted handbags and camellia designs.
Chanel revolutionized women's lives by introducing them to the joys of the trouser suit and the little black dress. Chanel, the woman not the brand, is seriously *one* of my heroes, -er heroines. I have so many books on this woman, it ridiculous. I wrote my high school English Honors paper on her and her role in fashion.
Audrey Tautou (she starred in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain...or simply known as Amélie along with The DaVinci Code) plays Chanel and it's quite eerie how much she looks like Chanel.
Unless you're flying to Paris to watch the movie, watch the trailer here...
