Okay so if you have been reading this blog for a while, you'll know of my secret wish of becoming a MAJOR model.
I'm pretty sure that that's not happening anytime soon so I'm helping those of you out there who might want to pursue this dream.
Believe it or not...you don't have to live in New York to find good modeling agencies/schools. **Gasp** It's true. W Talent Utah Model Agency is a modeling agency based out of Salt Lake City, Utah. Not only are they an agency, they have a development program for aspiring models and actors. This is unique since not any agencies out there will take the time out to train to be a model. And fear not if you don't meet the requirements of gazelle like legs and size 0 pant size or just want to act rather than pose. They also train to be actors or voiceovers. Some of their clients are Vogue (**screaming**), Abercrombie & Fitch (**drooling**), Giorgio Armani, Diesel, Cosmopolitan, Dolce & Gabbana (**shrieking**), Verizon, and Reebok.
They also have done casting for many Disney movies- and yeah that includes all the High School Musical shows.
Pretty impressive list, n'est pas?
They also have a Model Agency Blog where you can read updates, find out about casting calls, and find out about upcoming fashion shows. Super fun.

It's pretty obvious W Modeling is a SCAM. A very simple rule of thumb is, if an agency asks for money (other than web site up keep) they aren't real. How else do you think they can afford such a fancy office. I've been to the biggest agencies in the world (NY-ford, elite, boss, ect.) and their lobbies aren't half as elaborate. That's New York and LA. SLC's modeling/acting market isn't even in the same tax bracket as these cities. Red Flag!!! Red Flag!!!
Giant scam!!! Refuse to refund money that my fiance and paid to them for "training" aka a gym membership! My fiance never attended a class, called several times and could never get a call back! Her talent scout no longer works there and no one cares if you ever go to a class they just want to collect their monthly membership fee... Stay away!!!!! Several agencies that are legit and never charge you a dime! W Talent is a scam!!!!!
