OK so I'm getting better at this..last time I posted at like 2am Thursday morning but now it's before midnight(!)
My second lippie up for review is Mally Beauty New Naturals Midlight Lipgloss in Sweet Plum
This gloss is by celebrity makeup artist Mally Roncal. This lipgloss has that really wet look without any stickyness or messiness. This is a liquid lipstick: it has the wet look of a gloss and the coverage of a lipstick. I liked it...not loved. It didn't do anything for me. it was just kind of...on.
I really like the brush because then I don't have to use a lipbrush to blend in the color with my lip liner (Almay Ideal Lipliner in Plum). The shine was lovely and even though it's not sticky or tacky the color does last a long time.
As a woman of color, plum color always gives my pout some serious pizazz but this wasn't too purple-y (is it just me or are some plum lipcolors too dark).
Overall I'll give this an A for effective packaging. It's not nothing where I'd run and buy it for $15-$20. I can get a better drugstore brand for cheaper with the same, maybe better, effect. But it comes with this really cute pink metallic pouch with a mirror for getting gorgeous on-the-go. Hell, if I didn't get this in a gift bag from an event I went to, I wouldn't have given it a second (ok third...that pouch is too cute) glance.
