Mischa Barton for Nylon's August Issue

If you know me then you kinda know how much I dislike Mischa Barton. I know I'm in the minority here but ever since her O.C. days, I kinda couldn't stand her presence. There was something about her that just didn't click with me. It could be because just about EVERYONE was up her ass when she was the "it" girl- I've been known to dislike certain celebs when they're in the limelight. But I'm not a hater. I applauded and gawked over her outfits when she went through her fashionista-chic days with Rachel Zoe.

But have we seen her post-Zoe era. She kinda looks like she dresses in the dark at times.

It continues to baffle me on how she keeps landing these Iceberg and Keds campaigns. She's hardly doing anything...you think we'd give the models their jobs back.

And now she's on the cover of NYLON...I have a not so secret love of NYLON for the simple fact that after reading Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, and Elle you realize that you're reading the same thing over and over. NYLON rides a different wave. Yeah they have some expensive pieces but they don't just highlight the lives of the supremely rich and skinny. There's a creativity that exists in NYLON that Vogue or any other high fashion mag can't even match. So when I saw that NYLON chose Mischa B as the cover girl, I was slightly disappointed.

But as the saying goes...you can't judge a book by its cover. Or in this case- a magazine. After seeing the pics online, I understand why Mischa B is so well received. I mean who could say no to the big eyed, tall, blond, skinny chick. She's very photogenic and really you (at least I) find yourself staring at her pics and not knowing why. I'm diggin' the Birkin-esque quality of the photos. Am I the only one seeing it????
