July Issue of Italian Vogue

Ok so for the past two weeks I've been stalking every magazine shop/stand to see if they have the July issue of Italian Vogue.

No dice

I know its out there (New York Times wrote an article) and I've seen what the cover looks like (don't you just love Google?) but no magazine stand in all of Midtown Manhattan has a clue of what I'm talking about. As we speak (well as I type from my Sidekick..I love this mobile
blogging thing) I'm in SoHo looking for this mag. My feet hurt. =/

Why this obsession? Because FINALLY a major publication in the fashion world notices the COMPLETE lack of color in the industry. Sozzani (editor in chief of Vogue Italia) created the July issue as the all Black issue. All editorials (from what I've heard) feature colored
models. The editorials were shot by Steven Meisel(!)

If you find/have/saw it in person...is it as pretty as it sounds? lol. Desperation is sinking in (you know its bad when I'm WILLING to pay $11 FOR A MAGAZINE!!)

Maybe this will inspire designers to use more black models in the upcoming fashion week (September).
