Heidiwood

So with the 10830749384569465 celebrity clothing lines coming out every year, it's hard to actually focus and take them seriously. I mean just 'cuz you have the money doesn't make you good at it, ya know what I mean?

there are the success stories:
Milla Jovovich for Jovovich-Hawk (with partner Carmen Hawk)
Diddy for Sean John
Gwen Stefani for L.A.M.B
Jennifer Lopez for Sweetface and JustSweet (formerly known as JLo)
Jay Z for RocaWear
Kimora Lee Simmons for baby Phay AND KLS

and then there are those who just fall flat...
Eve for Fetish
Lindsey Lohan with her leggings thing

So when I heard The Hills alum, Heidi Montag (or is it Pratt now) came out with I line, I nearly gagged. Having seen LC's line I really didn't want to see anything from these girls except drama on my tv screen on Monday nights.

But I was pleasantly surprised. I was watching The View (hey its one of my guilty pleasures...plus my poor excuse of a job is always making me close the damn store everynight) and they were debuting Heidi's new collection for Anchor Blue. The first thing that came to mind were the reports that she was searching for models that looked like her (fake hair-check.. fake boobs-check...failed music career...check)

but thank God the clothes and accessories were worth while. While her decision in guys may suck, Heidi does know how to dress the average young woman. My favorites?

the accessories...naturally

The Buckle Bag $32.50
I love this bag for its sheer bigness (is that a word??) Its trés roomy and and the buckle gives this simple bag a great look. I mean seriously if you saw this bag and didn't know the label...wouldn't you want to get it?

The Croc Doctor $44.50
I love doctor bags (hate carrying them but I love them either way) and when I saw this I just knew I had to have it. It's so beautiful and the croc look makes it stand out to me (or else it would have just been another doctor bag and I already have a gazillion)

Silver Slouch bag $32.50
This is another bag I love simply for the fact that its ginormous (I have a tendency to carry bags at least half my body weight- I carry my life) and silver is a great color because it can really offset a blah wardrobe.

I'm a denim girl- I live in jeans (hell I work at a denim company). I love my skinny jeans but at the same time slim bootleg are my faves (f you haven't tried on the Lola Boot by Lucky brand Jeans...go...NOW). So when I saw this skinny bootcut from the Heidiwood collection I nearly fainted...$44.95!!

Now it may just be the picture but these jeans don't look like they have any shape...it kinda looks sloppy. I still want to try it on though...

This is definitely my style since like I've said time and time again...I am a jeans and a tee kind of girl. I love the embellishment on the tank (left) and if you pair these with a pair of great skinny jeans and pumps you can go from day to night. The logo tee (right) is great for lounging around or going shopping or just hanging out with friends. Both shirts are @26.95. Soooooo me.

Now the website calls these cocktail dresses ($36.95 each)

To me, cocktail dresses are a little bit dressier. These look more like summer dresses. I mean maybe I have to see them up close and the website doesn't specify if it's cotton or not but if it's cotton they'd definitely be great summer dresses. I love the purple one.

But it being Heidi..she always has to disappoint somehow...

zebra and hot pants? really? and yes this outfit is available.

Um no thanks.

Now Heidiwood isn't sold in NYC or anywhere else on the east coast-Georgia and Florida are the only exceptions as it's only sold at Anchor Blue store locations nationwide- so if there's a friend over at California- get me that croc bag!!!!

what are we thinking? Kudos? Go away Heidi? or who cares??
