Chapstick...the original

Ok so technically it's Tuesday but I'm doing this 'cuz I definitely have been neglecting it. I think I'm going to change it to every other Wednesday- or just not have a day at all and just do lippie reviews since I can't stay consistent.

If you know me you know that I love constistency and order (my life is somewhat of an organized chaos as I like to call it).

This week's review is simple cler cut and to the point. Before there was MAC, before Maybelline and CoverGirl, hell before Bonnebell-there was this

I remember this as well as I remember Vaseline. ChapStick was a must have in my household. When I was little I was FORBIDDEN to have any form of makeup related product. My mother didn't want me growing up too fast (smart woman)- I wasn't allowed to use nail polish 'till about 6th grade.

I used to take empty jars/containers lying around the house and put Vaseline in and carry it in my book bag acting like it was lip gloss (I was convinced I was going to come out with my own lip gloss line...thats the budding entrepreneur in me).

As an appeasement, my mom bought me ChapStick in Strawberry and told me it was lip gloss. Now I didn't see the "glossy-ness" but she was my mom so I fell for it. I thought I was IT when I went back to school. I whipped that bad boy out any chance I got. That Strawberry taste was ADDICTIVE!

And now looking back, momma knows best. ChapStick is better than your average gloss/ lipstick/stain because:
  • helps prevent and temporarily protects chafed, chapped or cracked lips
  • helps prevent and protects from the drying effects of wind and cold weather
  • helps prevent sunburn
  • has SPF which gives more sunburn protection (CRUCIAL for these sumer months)

  • And...it is the ORIGINAL (in my humble opinion)

But let's face...I love makeup too much to only stick with one product. hehe

ChapStick is available at your local drugstore.

OH girl, I will choose chapstick over lipgloss any day! It lasts and it's natural and Danny doesn't go "Ick! My lips are sticky" when he kisses me.

    LOL

LMAOOOOO I've had many complaints about my 1029337 glosses. One ex even bought me chapstick and said "kiss me with these" lol...
