So I definitely have a final exam in an hour and I'm trying to study but have no idea what to study...not to mention I'm blogging, reading/commenting on other people's blogs, on style.com, on sephora.com, and trying to find a new job.
At least I learned how to multi-task while in college ;)
You know how when your hair is not looking so good, everything is just kind of...off?
Is that only me? I have this thing- no matter how cute the outfit or impeccable the makeup but if your hair (and shoes) don't look right...you don't look right. It's a little something I picked up from my mom.

Shampoo, Conditioner, Hair Mask
This is perfect for me as it is made for women of color and it addresses what other companies neglect. Since my hair is relaxed there are products that just don't cut it. This however, coats strands and shields it from damage (without product buildup). Love it!

Well that has been the case with me...I recently (or not so recent as it was during Spring Break) relaxed-chemically straightened- my hair. Now my hair has been au natural for about 8 months- no perming/ relaxing...no highlighting...NOTHING! Just a plain wash and set. So I don't blame my hair for being confused when I just straightened it...needless to say I developed a bad case of split ends and breakage.
Desperate for repair, I went to my hair salon, Merengue Beauty Salon, to get a conditioning treatment. While there I decided, why not trim the ends. Trim turned to a cut...I don't know why but I decided that I wanted to cut my hair. Normally thee thought of chopping off an inch or two (or three) FREAKS me out! But as I sat in the chair talking to Margot I decided...cut it off.
But since I have been going there since I was 16, Margot knows how I react to cutting so she didn't chop off a lot (I love her). After giving me the best shampoo and conditioning (and i got a little treatment added in for free!) Margot went to work.
What I ended up with was a long layered bob with bangs...similar to this:

Now that I look at it...that's a very cute color on her head..
Anywhoo..
Something amazing happens when your hair is lookin' right. I don't know if it's the hair, or if it's because it stopped raining today in New York but I felt FIERCE! Can't nobody tell me nothing!
But my hair looks and feels fab! It's good to comb out my hair and not see strands falling off. What products were recommended to keep my hair this beautiful....I shall share:
Pantene Pro V relaxed & natural Breakage Defense:Shampoo, Conditioner, Hair Mask
This is perfect for me as it is made for women of color and it addresses what other companies neglect. Since my hair is relaxed there are products that just don't cut it. This however, coats strands and shields it from damage (without product buildup). Love it! Frederic Fekkai Shea Butter Hair and Body Collection:
Shampoo, Conditioner, Hair Mask

This is super moisturizing for dry, relaxed and coarse hair. And its great for dry skin! Shea butter comes from the Karite tree. The fatty acids extracted from the nut of this tree provide moisture far superior to other vegetable based butters.
Joico Moisture Recovery Product Line:Shampoo, Conditioner, Treatment Lotion, and Balm

This revitalizes dry hair. Moisture Recovery's exclusive Hydramine Sea Complex, combined with Joico's Quadramine Complex repairs and reconstructs, restores vital fluids and provides intense moisturization. A little pricey compared to the others but it is well worth it. If you love your hair...get this.
Hopefully this helps people. And now that I have a 15 minutes till my final, I think I'll go study now =)
