So I'm not really a lipstick kinda gal mainly because I suffer from dry lip (too much info...probably-- true...hell yeah!) And I know I'm not the only one (c'mon, drop the act). That's why I normally just stuck to my lip glosses.
BUT
I was so tempted to just by lipstick all because of the Pout a Porter series by Lancôme. Now I know I'm late is posting this but...I had to take baby steps. I started out with a Sephora lipstick...then stole one of my mom's red ones from Fashion Fair.

Now I think I'm ready to graduate. All because of this...
Yeah...for those of you who don't know...this beautiful specimen of makeup is known as Pixel Pink. This is the fourth installation of the Pout-à-Porter series of limited-edition lipsticks created exclusively for the runway by renowned makeup artist Gucci Westman (formerly of Lancôme).
Color Fever Shine in Pixel Pink is Westman along with designer Thakoon to create a beautiful sheer raspberry shade. ladies... THIS is the shade worn by all the models during Thakoon’s Spring '08 show.

It has a beautiful sheer color. My only reserve is that the color may only cater to women with light skin...us dark sinned gals might have a tough time with this pink color (but I'm determined to make this work!)
Color Fever Shine Pixel Pink will also be available at Lancôme’s five U.S. boutiques, Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman. I called the Lancôme boutique in the city and they said they had it! WHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
If I had my way, I'd much rather have this bad boy...

Lancôme Color Fever Lipstick -PS Kiss by Peter Som
Peter Som also had his own collaboration with Gucci Westman to create this wonderfully crafeted bold, brick red shade. This too was worn by the models in Peter Som's show (Fall 2007). This was created exclusively for the show but went on shelves in October...and sold out two minutes later :-/
Other than this there was the Behnaz Sarafpour Red (which must have been super exclusive since I can't find a picture of it ANYWHERE!) and there was this cutie:
Proenza Pink:
This lipstick was created in collaboration with with Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough, the designers behind Proenza Schouler. It was inspired by the collections new designs, visions of cool surfer girls, Stephen Sprouse and a touch of ‘80s icon Molly Ringwald (love it!) this I know would NOT work on me...I'd look like I had cake frosting smeared on my lips...
Of all the colors I'd prob kill for PS Kiss which is heralded among many beauty lovers who actually got them (lucky bastards...)
TTFN...gotta go test out this pixel pink before spending $25 on a lipstick I'm not going to want to finish...

Hi Eileen,
Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. Regarding Pixel Pink, do you have any darker lip liners to layer underneath? MAC Pink Treat Creamstick might be a good match for Pixel Pink to add a bit more intensity.
Have a good one!
Buy me some! lol
I just stumbled across your blog and I am so glad I did! Pixel Pink is exactly what I have been looking for!
Proenza Pink - ha love it! I personally love pink lips. The strawberry stained lip looks good on everyone, in my opinion.
Pixel Pink looks to be more everyday, I would definitely consider wearing this (I'm fair skinned, sorry).
Loving your blog, keep it up. :)
