Ok so my undying love for fashion has truly expanded over the course of Fashion Week (and it's not even over yet!). Last night, your's truly was lucky to actually get inside the tents (that's right as in underneath the tents). Last night, I saw Brazilian designer Iòdice. The color palette was pretty much black and blues (again, these colors seem to be the theme for this fall) with hints of yellow and pinks. The makeup was somewhat dramatic (think Alexander McQueen's egyptian eye look from last year...except it was all in one deep blue-purplish color). Iodice is a huge designer in his native home of Brazil and this show was his first presentation of his higher end line (his lower priced item has been sold in the US for a while). It was one minidress after the other- each having interesting details...zippers, see through tops, pleats. The best part for me though- the long elbow length leather gloves sported by each model on the runway! BEAUTIFUL.! I just might have to change my social calendar as an excuse to go out and these dresses!
